    Kylie Solomon, artistic director

    Based in New York, Kylie is the founder and artistic director of TYF Dance Company (Trust Your Fascinations), a volunteer-based collective dedicated to interpretive, cathartic movement and experimental performance through film and public spaces. Starting at a young age, she has a foundation in various styles including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. Now, Kylie holds a BA in Dance from Hunter College, where she focused on ballet, contemporary, and modern techniques. Kylie has choreographed and performed in numerous projects and teaches a wide range of styles to both children and adults, including individuals with special needs. Her work is rooted in curiosity, community, and trusting what inspires.

    Lily Cox, company production manager & Dancer

    Lily Cox is a dancer and stage manager with a BA in Dance from Hunter College. She has worked with choreographers including Roderick George, Chloe Arnold, Alberto Del Saz, and Tiffany Merritt-Brown. She has also worked at La Mama and the Waterfire Arts Center. Additionally, Lily is a member of Prints Dance Company, led by Lihi Dor.

    Maya Ryan, marketing manager & dancer

    Maya Ryan is from Long Island, New York. She has danced since the age of six and has trained extensively in contemporary/lyrical, tap, jazz, hip hop, and musical theater. She continued her training at Hunter College as a dance minor, performing in various student works and presenting her first original work, “Paraskínia”, during her final semester. Outside of dance, Maya has worked in New York’s vibrant arts community, completing internships at PEN America and Irish Arts Center while pursuing a BA in English Literature. She values the body’s ability to tell complex stories and create connections between human beings. She is deeply inspired by the strong community of dancers she has worked with throughout the years and is honored to begin this next step in her artistic journey.

  • alyssa madden, dancer

    Alyssa Madden is a dedicated and versatile dancer, choreographer, and educator with over 15 years of experience and training across a wide range of styles. A graduate of Hunter College, she deepened her understanding of movement as both an art form and a vehicle for expression and healing. Alyssa has performed internationally through the DanceItalia program in Lucca, Italy, and was a member of Kinections Dance Group. While continuing to pursue her own training, she also works with students across the tri-state area, sharing her passion for dance through both performance and education. As a performer and collaborator, Alyssa values working in inclusive, supportive environments where artists can grow together both creatively and personally.

    Brianna Barefoot is a dancer, choreographer, and educator based in New York. She began dancing at a young age and is currently a student at Hunter College pursuing a BA/MA in Dance Education. She has trained extensively in ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary. Brianna has had the great opportunity to perform works by Alberto Del Saz, Gia Mongell, and Darvejon Jones among others. She is currently on faculty at Dance Perfection where she teaches ballet, tap, and jazz to young dancers ages 2 to 15. She hopes to have a professional dance career and continue to inspire the next generation.

    Carly is a dancer and choreographer from Malverne, NY. She holds a BA in Dance from Hunter College and an AA in Dance from Nassau Community College. She is a multidisciplinary artist who specializes in contemporary/modern, jazz, and hip hop. Carly teaches and choreographs at several studios across Long Island. She is inspired by her students, peers and mentors. She believes that dance is not just an art form, but a universal language. One that is seen and allows us to truly understand and express who we are. A language that often says more than words could.

  • Leilani Peña, dancer

    Leilani Peña is a proud Latina born and raised in Washington Heights, New York. She began her dance training at the Cultural Arts Center in Washington Heights. In 2019, she graduated as an Ailey dance major from the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan. Leilani earned her BA in Dance from Hunter College, performing in works by Pedro Ruiz, Abdel Salam and more. She is now a member of the Hunter College Dance Department, where she continues to evolve as both an artist and educator.

  • Ruth montoya, dancer

    Ruth Montoya is a dynamic movement artist born and raised in Queens, New York. She began dancing at the age of 13 and quickly developed a passion that led her to explore a wide range of styles, including salsa, ballet, contemporary, modern, hip hop, belly dance, tap and pole dance. A 2023 graduate of Hunter College, Ruth continues to push the boundaries of her practice, delving into new forms of movement such as Boxing, Muay Thai, and Calisthenics. Deeply inspired by the energy and connection found in shared spaces, she values being part of a community and thrives in environments where movement brings people together. Her journey reflects a lifelong commitment to the art of physical expression and collective growth.
